How does this filter differ from the Classic Series Particle filter?

Classic DualProtection filters feature a highly-porous, lightweight carbon mesh that is extremely efficient at removing both particle and gaseous (odors, exhaust, smoke odors, and chemicals) pollutants from the air. Whereas Classic Particle filters are highly efficient in the removal of particle pollutants like pollen, dust, mold, viruses, and fine smoke particles.

filters for a reliable workhorse
These still work well from original design. I am glad Blueair still supports their older air cleaners. While I have purchased other Blueairs since, I have two machines of this 500/600 series at home and at a cottage.

The device doesn’t register a new filter after I installed new filters. I tried the method provided by the bot, didn’t work.
