Our Responsibility: People, Planet, and Progress

  • At Blueair, we believe that air wellness is essential to a healthier, happier life — and that belief shapes everything we do.

Our purpose is to create balanced air that supports wellbeing, not just through our products, but through the choices we make as a company. One of our three core pillars is a commitment to doing good — acting responsibly, ethically, and with care for people and the planet. From community initiatives to sustainability improvements, we’ve taken meaningful steps to be better — and we know there’s more ahead. This page shares how we’re putting our values into action and shaping a future where total air wellness goes hand-in-hand with social and environmental impact.

Proud to be B Certified

In April 2023, Blueair became the first air purifier brand to earn B Corp certification, a third-party recognition awarded by B Lab for meeting rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Blueair underwent a comprehensive assessment evaluating its performance across five impact areas: governance; workers; community; environment; and customers. It reflects practical commitments including energy‑efficient design (most Blueair models use no more electricity than a single lightbulb and qualify for Energy Star Most Efficient 2023) and use of responsibly sourced materials like FSC-certified packaging.

UK School Partnership – Continued

Blueair’s collaboration with Netley and Gospel Oak schools in the UK is a continuation of its long-standing commitment to improving indoor air quality in educational settings. Years after its initial donation of air purifiers, Blueair revisited the schools ahead of the 2025–26 school year to replace several filters, some of which had been in use for over 18 months. Air quality readings taken after the replacements showed up to a 90% drop in indoor air pollution, underscoring the impact of these high-performance units. Blueair remains proud to be part of this legacy, continuing its mission since 2019 to provide cleaner air for children across the UK.

4oceans Partnership

In alignment with our Clean Air Month campaign, we partnered with 4ocean, a fellow B Corp committed to removing plastic and trash from oceans and rivers. Through their “Pull a Pound” partnership program, launched in April, we pledged to remove one pound of plastic/trash for every new filter subscription during the campaign—up to 10,000 pounds. This initiative allowed us to create dual impact: while our filters help clean the air, our partnership with 4ocean extended that impact to cleaning the oceans.

Sustainable Packaging Efforts

Blueair is committed to sustainability by reducing our environmental impact through initiatives like using FSC®-certified packaging, minimizing foam in shipping materials, and participating in the How2Recycle® program to improve recycling transparency. These efforts reflect our ongoing mission to protect both people’s health and the planet while delivering high-performance products.

Clean Air for Children Initiative

Beyond design and manufacturing, Blueair retreats to a broader purpose: supporting air‑quality advocacy around the world. Their Clean Air for Children initiative and the Freedom to Breathe campaign (in partnership with Global Action Plan) helped garner over 30,000 signatures, contributing to the UN formally recognizing a “child’s right to clean air” under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

2025 US Wildfire Support

In response to the devastating wildfires earlier this year, Blueair joined forces with organizations such as Good+Foundation and Global Empowerment Mission to help create safer, healthier environments in homes, schools, and community centers. Through these partnerships, the brand directly supported over 500 community members by donating hundreds of air purifiers to families in need.

CSR Partnerships – ALA

In partnership with the American Lung Association, Blueair proudly contributed to the Fight For Air Climb, helping to raise nearly $160,000 to benefit New York City’s first responders and volunteers while advancing the mission to improve lung health nationwide. Blueair is also deepening community engagement through family-focused outreach. At the upcoming LUNG FORCE Walk in May, Blueair will host the Little Breathers tent—a creative space designed for children under 12. The tent’s signature “Coloring Contest” will award a medal and mini-air purifier to the winning child, further amplifying Blueair’s mission of delivering “blue, fresh air” to families nationwide. The event is expected to draw hundreds of walkers and their families from the local community.
