It was quite extraordinary to discover how much carbon had been collected by the filter which we bought in order to protect us from particular is produced by a woodburning stove. I can only say I’m very impressed..

It's smaller and doesn't have the power of the 411 I have, which I like better. The outside covering is ugly and too thick, which forces the motor to work harder. Change the cover material looks too cheap. Also the power lights do not stay lit on the 511 so your not sure what level your at. Not a good compromise I like the 411 much better

This is the third Blueair machine in our household, the second 511 and the quietest by far. It's 3.5" shorter than the other 511 that we bought several years ago, but the same top/fan/etc. so I'm thinking they share a product number.
